Swaddlebees Aplix Pocket with Organic Velour

Swaddlebees Aplix Pocket with Organic Velour

The perfect diaper for moms that prefer natural fibers next to their babies' skin, yet like the convenience and ease of use of a waterproof pocket diaper. This diaper is made exactly like our All In Ones, but without the attached soaker pad. It is made with a waterproof outer layer of PUL, a layer of microfleece, and a full layer of organic cotton velour next to baby?s skin. A layer of microfleece is used to provide a dry barrier between the velour top layer and the insert. Organic cotton velour is used as the top layer of the diaper for its hypoallergenic properties. Natural cotton is one of the least allergenic materials known to man. It is also one of the most moisture absorbent materials there is. The result is a diaper that quickly absorbs moisture and wicks it from the baby?s body to hold it away in the insert used. The fact that microfleece or suedecloth is not directly in contact with the baby's skin enables those who are sensitive to those materials to use this diaper and still get an almost stay dry effect. The diaper will not feel as dry as one that is lined with polyester, but it will not feel as wet as an all-cotton diaper. Because of the cotton?s inherent absorbent qualities, should the microfleece layer ever experience buildup, liquid will be absorbed first by the cotton velour layer instead of just rolling off the sides and immediately causing leaks. The diapers need to be pre-washed at least once before use. Three to four times, and dried in between, is preferable. This causes the cotton fibers of the top layer to fluff up and become more absorbent. You may experience leaking if the diaper has not been pre-washed sufficiently.
